The Living Light

“But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

1 John 1:7 HCSB

Every time I see the sun’s light streaming down from above, I am reminded of God’s faithful presence in our lives. In John 8:12, Jesus declares, “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

We have been invited into relationship with Him, where His light illuminates our path, guiding our steps. What a wonderful privilege to live in the brilliance of His love!

Because He has shared His loving light with us, we are called to be in the light and to share it with others. Ephesians 5:8 tells us, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

One way to think about living in the LIGHT is:

Living
In
God’s
Holy
Truth

As His children, we are transformed. We have the Holy Spirit and are called to use our grace-filled gifts to share His light. May we commit ourselves to radiate His light daily so that we may guide others toward Him.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for Your loving light which provides us with grace. Please help us to live daily in Your holy truth and to share Your light with those we meet. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Journal: Read Ephesians 5:6-13. Reflect on what living in the light looks like for you.
