“I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.”
Isaiah 43:11 ESV
“Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'”
John 14:6 HCSB
There is no way into heaven but through Jesus Christ. His life, death, and resurrection provide for our spiritual and eternal connection to our Lord.
His crucifixion has removed our sins. And when we pass from this life, we will live in heaven forever with Him. We are asked to believe in Jesus and trust Him as our Savior.
During the Easter season celebrations, we are fully aware of these truths. Yet in our daily lives, we can easily get so focused on the day-to-day activities that we lose our close connection to Jesus. But there is no time in our days that is more special than the time we spend with Jesus. We can choose to invite Him into our lives every day and at any time.
As believers, we are also called to share the Good News with others. Our church has provided us with a 4-part profession to help us share this Message with others:
THE PROBLEM: As humans, we are sinners.
THE PENALTY: This sin separates us from our heavenly Father.
THE PROVISION: God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior.
THE PLAN: Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is the only way for our eternal salvation.
We can share this message with those we know in a loving way. We are not called to push anyone, but simply to live a Christian life as a witness. We are to pray for them, asking the Lord to guide each person closer to Him.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 NIV)
PRAYER: Dear Jesus, thank You for loving us enough to die for us on the cross. You have paid for all our debts. We can never repay You. Please help us to intimately know You and spend time with You daily. Show us how to follow Your lead through Your life’s example and teachings. And help us to trust You with our whole hearts. In Your precious name, Amen.
Journal: Spend time with Jesus today. Invite Him into all you do and thank Him for His gracious gift.
