“But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.”
Romans 8:25 HCSB
“Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.”
Romans 12:12 HCSB
We are often in a hurry, stressed and overburdened. When these times come, we need to step away and rest for a while.
Here’s a poem to remind us to pause and move closer to the Lord.
Peace and Patience
Peace and patience can only be found
When we slow things down.
When answers are few,
And we need to renew,
The Lord will lead us through.
His love is pure.
With Him we’ll endure.
Through prayer and rest
We’ll find the path that’s best.
Quiet renewal refreshes our soul.
Hope for our future as we set a new goal.
The Lord stays beside us to guide us along.
He shows us the difference between right and wrong.
He lovingly leads us through every day.
And when we are ready, He’ll show us the way.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, we thank You for Your help. We trust in the promise found in Lamentations 3:25-26, “The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. It is good to wait quietly for deliverance from the LORD.” We long to live patiently in the peace and hope that comes through knowing You. In Christ’s name, Amen.
