What’s New?

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”

Isaiah 43:19a ESV

My word for this year is NEW. I’m seeking new projects and fresh opportunities to serve. I’m leaning on the Lord and asking Him, “Lord, what’s new for me?”

It’s not that we need to change everything we’ve been doing. Many of our routines and habits have brought us to this moment and will continue to serve us well as we move forward.

But we can seek opportunities to see with new eyes. Accepting new activities will help us to grow in our faith and in our relationship with the Lord. We will build our strength, reliance, and connection with Him.

When we give the Lord more of our time and attention, we will listen closer and see things in a new light. The closer we are to the Lord and the more we seek His guidance, the more in tune we will be with His plan for our lives.

What new things is the Lord calling you to? How will you respond?

PRAYER: Dear Lord, we long to follow You and be good stewards of the lives You have given each of us. We pray for the desire to ask You for what is next for us and the willingness to follow through. May we learn to leave space for more spontaneity and joy in our days, while we honor and serve You. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Journal: How can you learn something new, or renew your joy and admiration for Him each day?
