“For we walk by faith, not by sight,”
2 Corinthians 5:7
“Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
“Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.”
Hebrews 11:6
Faith is believing what we can’t see. When we believe in the Lord and His ways, we can have an inner knowing that He will help us, guide us, and protect us.
My husband’s teacher explained faith as trusting that when you sit in a folding chair, it won’t fold up on you. I’m not always quite sure about a chair, so at times I will sit toward the edge of the seat and keep part of my weight on my legs. But in those times, I can’t fully rest or focus.
Faith allows us to trust and pray to God, even though we can’t see Him, and to believe He loves us and will help us through whatever we encounter. God will be there cheering us on and catching us when we fall. He will send us the helpers and insights we need to continue moving through life.
Let’s seek God and draw closer to Him. We can give Him our daily struggles, desires, sorrows, and triumphs. We can share our gratitude for Him and rest in His presence. The Lord longs to be with us and promises to reward us for our faithfulness.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for Your faithfulness to us. Thank You for always being true to Your Word and Your promises. Please help us to keep believing in You when times are difficult and to draw close to You always. Thank You for the many blessings You send our way.
In Christ’s name, Amen
