Spring Garden

“Heavens, sprinkle from above, and let the skies shower righteousness. Let the earth open up so that salvation will sprout and righteousness will spring up with it. I, Yahweh, have created it.”

Isaiah 45:8

For as the earth produces its growth, and as a garden enables what is sown to spring up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

Isaiah 61:11

Spring reminds us of chirping birds, waking to sunshine, warmer air, fresh blooms on the trees, and the emerging of sweet scented flowers.

Life begins again. The world wakes up. Sleeping animals emerge.

We are renewed and become more alive. We gain energy and enjoy more time outside. We plant gardens for beauty and sustenance.

We may also experience new growth in our lives. As hope is renewed, our courage is engaged. We have a willingness to try new things and an excitement for the days to come. We are ready to clean out the old from our lives…the clutter, old dreams, and activities that don’t suit us anymore.

Use this spring to find new ways to care for yourself and to honor who you are. Plant some new seeds in your life. Go to the Word and spend time with the Lord to add water and light, and see what comes up!

PRAYER:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for spring! Thank You for new life and the awakening of our world. Thank you for providing the seasons and fresh starts for us all.
In Christ’s name, Amen.

Journal: Notice the growth and beauty around you. What areas in your life could use some changes? How can you refresh your quiet time and walk with the Lord?
