Create

“For it was You who created my inward parts;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You
because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful,
and I know this very well.”

Psalm 139:13-14

“For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.”

Ephesians 2:10

We’ve all been given special gifts. Those are the things we’re especially good at, and usually there’s a desire placed in our hearts. Maybe this desire to create has been placed aside because of overwhelming responsibilities.

For me, it was writing. I knew it was important. I longed to communicate with others through the written word. My letters and poems were received well, but they were only shared with individuals. Although I had a desire to write for a wider audience, other life responsibilities seemed to get in the way. Now, I’m writing these devotionals with the Lord and putting them on my blog and in books to be shared with a wider audience.

Ask the Lord how He can combine your creative passion with His ministry. He will show you where and how you can best use your talents.

Here is a list of possible skills that you might use to create. Use this to get your mind and heart thinking. Circle those that interest you and write down others as you think of them.
