Each day, we have an opportunity to live our lives in a way that is pleasing and honoring to the Lord. We can use our gifts and actions to share God’s love with the world around us.
Yet at times we become so distracted that our focus is solely on completing the task at hand, without regard to the needs of others. We may be rushed or stretched too thin to notice.
When we begin each morning with a few minutes in quiet prayer with the Lord, asking for His insight into our day, we will start to see each moment through God’s eyes. We will search for ways to integrate a heart of compassion and connection into our encounters and realize that we have more opportunities to impact the world than we could have imagined!
It doesn’t take much time to smile or greet someone, to offer a hug or a word of encouragement. A small act of kindness can go a long way to make another person’s day!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for looking at each of us with love. Please help me to see others as You do. Make me aware of those around me and help me to be a loving servant for You. I long to live a heart-focused life that is pleasing to You. In Christ’s name, Amen.
