It’s usually the big changes that attract attention. We admire dramatic transformations, breakthrough moments, and overnight successes. But most changes come through small, faithful steps repeated day after day. Over time, mighty changes are made through these mini moves.
A tiny seed becomes a mighty tree. Over time, drops of rain will fill a river. One sentence at a time, a book is written.
The same is true in our spiritual lives… A few minutes in God’s Word may not seem like much today. One prayer whispered in faith may feel insignificant. And a small act of obedience may appear too little to matter. Yet God specializes in multiplying what we faithfully place in His hands.
The enemy tries to convince us that if we can’t do something big, we shouldn’t do anything at all. But God celebrates beginnings. And He rejoices when we take each step, no matter how small.
We can begin with…
One choice.
One prayer.
One task.
One act of kindness.
One step of courage.
Over time, these small choices become a life transformed by God’s grace. He sees our progress even when we can’t, and He’s faithful to complete the work He has begun in each of us (Philippians 1:6).
Today, rather than focusing on how far you have to go, simply focus on the next faithful step. Trust that the Lord is working through you, even when the progress seems slow.
How could your next “mini move” start your journey to a mighty change? Are you willing to faithfully follow through? Even small steps can lead to great things when we follow God’s lead.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for the small, faithful steps that lead to mighty moves when we follow through with You. Please give us the courage to keep moving forward. Help us trust that You’re working in ways we can’t always see. Help us remain faithful in the little things, knowing that You use consistent obedience to accomplish great purposes. Show us the mini moves we are called to make each day. May we trust You with the process and the outcome. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
