Love

“The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

1 John 4:8 HCSB

Every day we must remember to love…

Love is being available when times are good or bad.
It’s giving high fives, handholds, and helping to carry the burdens of others while showing them how to hold on.

Love is shown through smiles and flowers, gifts and helping hands. It’s seen in letters, dinners, dances, snuggles, and prayers.

Love means gently showing others the areas where they are wrong and forgiving them anyway.

Love knows no age or geographical boundaries.

Love requires nothing and hopes for the best. It looks at the inside, the heart and the soul.

Love seeks to find goodness and holds to the promise that all are valuable in their unique ways.

Love sometimes means letting go, though we long to hold on.

Love never ends.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Thank You for the gift of love. Thank you for lovingly providing for us always. Lord, help us to share your love with others. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Journal: Read 1 Corinthians 13. Reflect on the times when you have felt the most loved. Who could use some love from you?
