“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8 HCSB
In the last two weeks, many things have changed in our family.
My husband has gone back to working in the office. I’ve helped him with packing his lunches for his 3 in-person days per week. Prior to that, he’d been exclusively working from home for over two years!
I’ve attended two awards events and helped to create graduation announcements with my high school senior! We’re still determining what his college housing will look like.
I also attended the closing for my older son and began the exciting process of moving him in to his first house!
We’re counting down the days as this school year ends and we all transition into new opportunities. My husband and I have decided it’s time for me to leave my part time job to spend more time writing and studying God’s word, while devoting more time to my family and long neglected projects.
All of these transitions have both wonderful and uncomfortable parts. How do we know we’ve made the right decision? What if things don’t go as well as we hoped?
No matter what transitions we experience in this life, the Lord will be faithful. He will remain with us to help guide us through all of our circumstances. Hold onto these promises as you walk through transitions in your own life. Though change is an unavoidable part of life, the Lord is an ever constant presence Who never changes.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for being with us during times of change and transition. Thank You for giving us the blessings of change which allows us to improve as we learn from the process. Help us to remember that You do not change, and that even when we are transitioning to something unknown, You know it all and throughout it all You will be with us. Amen.
Journal: What transitions are you currently going through? Are there any changes you would like to make? How will you keep unchanging focus on our unchanging God throughout these transitions?
