Surrender

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”

How often do we try to handle our burdens alone? We may pray and ask the Lord for help, yet attempt to manage on our own. We’ll go through situations or struggles repeatedly, hoping for a different outcome. In these times, we need to surrender our burdens to God. He is always ready to lighten our load.

SURRENDER

When this world is heavy
and the struggles are many,
remember the Lord your God
stands at the ready.

He is waiting with open arms
to take these burdens away.
He will hold us up
and guide us on our way.

Release your clasped hands
and reach out to Him.
Trust in His guidance
as our Father and Friend.

He will show us the way
and tell us to do
whatever is needed
so we can get through.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for Your everlasting love. You promise to remain present in our lives. Please help us to surrender our burdens to You daily. In Christ’s name, Amen.
