God’s imagination is on powerful display for all to see.
The earth and water touch.
The patterns in the sand are ever changing.
Time is measured by the tide
and the rising and setting
of the sun or moon.
People come to rest
or test their skills among the waves.
Children build sandcastles
and search for shells.
Footprints mark the passing steps,
as feet sink into the sand.
Birds and creatures great and small
are all around to be found.
Whether there for laughter or leisure,
the beach is a beautiful place to land.
At day’s end,
the sun sinks low
as the moon moves high.
The waves continue to rise and fall
at their own pace,
unchanged by the passing day.
A quiet reminder
of our Lord’s mighty power
and thoughtful presence
that helps to guide
our way.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for Your mighty power that created the land and water. Thank You for the details in all You’ve created. Help us to rest in Your love and sense Your presence wherever we go. In Christ’s name, Amen.
